Technology as National Power

National Power is a key component of International Politics. Basically International Politics is the process of struggle for power among Nations in which each nation seeks to secure its desired goals and objectives of National interests. Because of the absence of sovereign or of a fully powerful centralized international machinery making authoritative allocation of values among the nations and because of the sovereign status of each nation-state, the securing of national interest by each state is always done by the use of its national power. In this article we shall discuss technology as national power

“National Power” refers to the ability of a sovereign state to achieve its objectives and protect its interests in the international arena. National Power is the ability or capability of a nation to secure the goals and objectives of its national interests in relation with other nations. It involves the capacity to use force or threat of use of force or influence over others for securing the goals of national interest. It encompasses a wide range of factors and capabilities that contribute to a state’s influence, authority, and effectiveness in the conduct of foreign affairs and the pursuit of its national interests.
